You can find it among the trees in the picturesque Będkowska Valley, not far from the Brandysówka Mountain Hostel. It flows, skimming over the rocks, stately and soothing. You can sit by it and catch your breath. It is one of the few waterfalls in the Kraków Valleys.
Szum, also known as Szeroki Waterfall, is the largest waterfall in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It is located among the trees in the central part of the Będkowska Valley, with the Będkowska River flowing through its bed. It formed on a rocky threshold made of limestone about four metres high. At seven kilometres in length, it’s the longest of the seven valleys in the Kraków Valleys Park, andis a must-see for all those who intend to visit the park. It's the perfect place for a weekend break away from the city and for walks with the kids. Within the valley, you will find attractive gorges, impressive rocks with many climbing routes, caves and rock shelters, among which the popular Nietoperzowa Cave is open to the public. After reaching the waterfall, relaxing by it and even getting your feet wet on hot days is possible. The sound of the waterfall is guaranteed to have a calming and soothing effect.
