The history of Krupówki dates back to the mid-19th century when it was barely a pathway connecting Nawsie and Kuźnice before the first houses were built here in the 1980s. The name comes from the nearby Krupowa Glade, once owned by the Krupowski, that is to say, the Krup family. Any regular who considers himself worldly must traverse this well-trod, uneven pavement. Located in the central part of the famous Krupówki Street, the Stek Chałupa Restaurant attracts, in particular, lovers of dishes prepared on a traditional charcoal-fired grill. The intense aroma of grilled steaks, shashliks, and sausages tempts tourists strolling along Krupówki and encourages them to feast on the sounds of a highlander band. The inn has wooden interiors made to resemble regional architecture native to Podhale and Orava. Fireplaces, old appliances and regional decorations create a down-home atmosphere. The speciality of the house: American steak, a thick, juicy piece of beef cooked precisely to order and served with grilled vegetables, and barbecued pork knuckle served with aromatic beer sauce, served on a wooden platter.
