Krynica-Zdrój is a pearl among Polish spas and a pilgrimage site for artists. It is the place of Jan Kiepura and Nikifor Krynicki. The world of finance willingly rested here, often visited by crowned heads. Here, you can get a taste of great fame and learn about the beautiful properties of Krynica’s mineral waters. The unique atmosphere is created by stylish guest houses, secluded green areas and, above all, the iconic promenade with the Main Pump Room.

What else is there to admire in Krynica-Zdrój and its surroundings?  Mt Parkowa, Jaworzyna Krynicka, the path and observation tower in the treetops at the upper station of the railway in the Słotwiny Arena resort, as well as restored historic steam locomotives and carriages running to Krynica – from summer to November – along historic routes and charming wooden pearls lining the Wooden Architecture Route.

Krynica is, of course, the picturesque Beskid Sądecki, an area of the Poprad Landscape Park. However, from here, it is close to the Beskid Niski, the Beskid Wyspowy, the Gorce, the Małe Pieniny and the Pieniny Mountains.

Your arrival may be the beginning of a fantastic adventure in the land of gentleness, where life moves a little slower, and the terrain is ideal for unhurried wandering, savouring every moment in harmony with nature.  You won’t find crowds on the trails or queues to buy a ticket to the national park. During a long ‘wandering’ away from civilisation, you can rest assured that you can enjoy your stay here.

You will be completely absorbed by the beautiful views, picturesque forests, varied mountain ridges and valleys shimmering in a palette of colours and hues. On top of all this, you will find charming towns, wooden Roman Catholic churches, Orthodox churches, and a rich and wonderful culture.

Beskid Sądecki and Beskid Niski are borderlands, ethnically and culturally diverse. They have always been and continue to be a meeting place for religions, cultures, peoples, and nations.  They are a cultural melting pot with numerous national, ethnic, and religious minorities – Little Homelands for Armenians, Slovaks, Ukrainians, Jews, Lemkos, Roma, and Poles.

The Tourist Information Point in Krynica-Zdrój is next to the Krynica pedestrian zone and the Main Mineral Water Pump Room.  The Information Point has all of the most up-to-date materials, e.g., about new and exciting bicycle routes leading through Krynica, Beskid Sądecki and Małopolska. The resort has created a very well-developed network of bicycle paths and cycling routes. Those who appreciate a quiet ride can choose the VeloKrynica – a path along the Kryniczanka stream and the Muszynka river – and those looking for a challenge can tackle MTB routes with names referring to the therapeutic mineral waters (all routes start from Krynica’s promenade).

The Tourist Information Point in Krynica provides information about monuments and attractions, events, accommodation, and dining facilities. It also provides maps, guides, and brochures.  The  PIT website has plans, thematic leaflets, and quests. The PIT building is well signposted, and there are public pay toilets.
