The “Jan Wnęk” Parish Museum in Odporyszów

Na ścianie wiszą niewielkie drewniane, sakralne rzeźby Jana Wnęka. Są to apostołowie, Matka Boża, Trzej Królowie, nauczający Chrystus z księgą na kolanach, dalej na ciemnej ścianie anioł, Chrystus biczowany. Przy rzeźbach wiszą kartki z opisami.

A branch of the Diocesan Museum in Tarnów, is located next to the Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The museum houses an exposition dedicated to sacred collections, sculptures and memorabilia of the esteemed folk sculptor and constructor – Jan Wnęk. These include multiple-figure scenes of the Annunciation, the Nativity and the Crucifixion. In the Garden (of Gethsemane) chapel there are 12 other sculptures (including Christ in the Garden), 5 bas-reliefs (including a Pietà) placed in chapels/stations of the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady in the old cholera cemetery. Jan Wnęk is commemorated by a two-meter high wooden monument produced by M. Pajor.
