Guest, sit under my roof. And rest. You won't leave here hungry. I promise you. This is how Klimtówka in Wolbrom, known for its traditional Polish cuisine and beautiful Art Nouveau interiors, invites you.
Wolbrom –a somewhat sleepy town in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland – can surprise you with its rich history. It was known in the Middle Ages to itinerant traders and merchants as ‘civitas Wolwrami’. An important trade route running from Małopolska to Wielkopolską and Śląsk, thanks to a privilege granted by Ladislaus the Short in 1400, led to the flourishing of the town, as travellers had to pay a toll in order to pass through the town. ‘Klimtówka’, in the centre of the merchant town of Wolbrom, harks back to these times, tempting guests with specialities of Old Polish cuisine while offering comfortable accommodation in the hotel. The interior design features hand-carved furniture, candlelight, and the warmth of the fireplace, and it is complemented by paintings by Gustav Klimt, the patron artist of the inn. The inn specialises in old-Polish cuisine, and the facility simultaneously offers accommodation in the hotel part and two conference rooms.
