It is located in the initial part of the Będkowska Valley; it is one of the larger Jurassic caves – its corridors are 306 metres long. It was discovered in 1848. Approximately 4,000 cave bear tusks were excavated during silt mining; traces of human habitation have also been found here. Inside, visitors can admire striking stalactites, including a dripstone waterfall with a stoup, pulpits and giant vortex cauldrons located in the cave's ceiling. It is interesting to note that guano, i.e., bat droppings, was once extracted from the site in industrial quantities and then used as fertiliser, thanks to the large number of bats that live here. The Nietoperzowa Cave has twice starred in films, the first time in 1995 when 'The Legend of Saint Nicholas' was filmed there, and later its interior was used by Jerzy Hoffman as the set design for 'With Fire and Sword'.
