In 1906, on the initiative of Cardinal Jan Puzyna, the Archdiocesan Museum was established in the Cathedral buildings at Wawel and was moved by Cardinal Karol Wojtyła to ul. Kanonicza. In the abandoned rooms, in 1978 the Cathedral Museum was established, where the objects from the Treasury of the Wawel Cathedral are exhibited. They are, inter alia, liturgical paraments, sacred art works, crown jewels from the Royal tombs.
